Being comfortable at Penn often takes more time than just one semester, or just a few days of rush. 

Penn men’s basketball has notched yet another unlikely 'first': Big 5 champions, for the first time in seventeen years. 

The Bulldogs came out on top on Saturday, as they bested Penn, 193.775 to 192.350. But even though they weren’t able to oust Yale, the Quakers improved their point totals in three of the four events.

After dropping their first two Ivy League games against Princeton, Penn men’s basketball responded with a hard-fought win over Temple to clinch at least a share of the Big 5 title.

Some rush events in the area were affected by the sudden outage near 38th and Walnut streets. "It seems like they have adapted – they had their phone lights and were still going on with the rounds and everything," Wharton senior Elizabeth Goran said.

Just starting their season, the Quakers have shown that they are on the rise. But Penn’s recent success on the mat isn’t just temporary.
