Last night, the 14 sororities of the Panhellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council joined forces to host the Sorority Meet and Greet in Houston Hall’s Bodek Lounge as a part of fall recruitment.

According to a recent study released by the Council of Graduate Schools, first-time enrollment in 2008 increased by 4.7 percent for domestic students, as compared with 3.3 percent for international students.

Arts and the City year puts spotlight on cultural activities

The Arts & the City theme centers around art and culture — both on Penn’s campus and in Philadelphia — and involves a variety of organizations, ranging from the University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology to student groups such as the Penn Art Club and the Center for Public Health Initiatives.

The bus, which stopped at the corner of 36th and Walnut streets for two hours yesterday morning, has been to all 50 states, said C-SPAN spokesman Rodee Schneider. The bus and its crew are part of C-SPAN’s charge to “try to connect with folks across the country,” Schneider said.
