Just a few months ago, I was complicit in On-Campus Recruiting. As suits traipse into interview rooms this week, I think it’s time to examine this tradition of competition through its history and recent critiques.

A day after its executive board announced that the Undergraduate Assembly had been found guilty of hazing and alcohol policy violations, the UA met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Sunday night and passed a resolution in response to the University’s ongoing Action Plan for Faculty Diversity and Excellence.



For some students, taking a gap year comes not only with a broader world view, but also a lighter wallet. While traditional gap year programs may cost thousands of dollars, a few are finding ways to lessen the financial burden. VIDEO: Word on the Walk: Gap years

No Penn player has ever graduated without beating Princeton at the Palestra. In a 82-67 win Monday night, Quakers seniors Tyler Bernardini and Zack Rosen quickly made sure they didn’t become the first.

Energy company PECO put a new substation to use earlier this month, replacing one that was over 100 years old. The new Peltz substation, which serves University City and part of Center City, replaced the Schuylkill substation.

Last week, Wharton junior Scott Dzialo was elected the new chair of the Student Committee on Undergraduate Education. Dzialo, who formerly served as vice chair of SCUE, sat down with The Daily Pennsylvanian to discuss some of his goals for the year ahead.
