Midfielder Christian Barreiro, who was cut by the New York Red Bulls in early February, has been on trial with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League Pro in the hopes to continue his journey as a professional soccer player.

For Jerome Allen, the word that sums up the Penn men’s basketball season is “disappointing.” But in my time at Penn, I have never seen so much excitement generated by a Penn sports program as the men’s basketball team did this year.

The Quakers won four of their final six games, including a road sweep of Brown and Yale in the final weekend before falling to undefeated Ivy champ Princeton on Tuesday.

The Red and Blue finished with a score of 191.650, a total that is just a point less than their Ivy Classic-winning score from February 26. Bridgeport, a program ranked second among Division II teams, took second place in the tri-meet with a total score of 192.950, and host team Maryland was well ahead with 195.075.

The sophomore finished at 2.20 meters in Nampa, Idaho, on Saturday, and his eighth-place finish was good enough to guarantee him All-America status for the second time in his young career.
