The Oct. 11 message was sent in response to a memo from Penn that outlined recommendations for department chairs to “maintain teaching continuity” should graduate students participate in a work stoppage.

The clinic will run from Oct. 15 to 17.

Many of the events are organized in partnership with various schools and organizations across Penn, mirroring the collaborative strategy outlined in the new Climate and Sustainability Action Plan.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Pennsylvanian, Chen detailed his journey from Penn to Silicon Valley, the culture of Elon Musk’s company, and his relationship to Diego Pasini. 

He described his new role as an effort to maintain the University’s momentum — a mission that requires institutional flexibility amid an evolving landscape of federal policies and financial stress.

At the picket, GET-UP announced that its members have begun pledging to authorize a strike if Penn continues to reject the union’s proposed contract. 

The compact was broadly described as a threat to the practice of shared governance — where faculty, staff, administrators, boards, and sometimes students share responsibility for decision-making and policy development. 

“There is no room for hate within the Penn community,” a University spokesperson wrote in a statement to the DP. 

During the event, speakers shared personal stories about their experiences on Oct. 7 and the victims of the attack.

In his role as a distinguished visiting fellow, Ezoe engages “with students, staff, faculty, and the community on pressing global issues including climate change, democracy, global justice, human rights, and security.”

The collection is being released in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, with a focus on Philadelphia’s role in establishing the nation.

Klein’s new role at Penn Washington involves research, policy, and applied learning.

The findings, published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, also link repeat infections to elevated risks of heart disease, kidney damage, cognitive impairment, and other conditions. 

The compact, which was send to nine universities including Penn on Oct. 1, outlined sweeping set of principles addressing academic freedom, testing, and international undergraduate enrollment.

The exhibit draws upon Penn’s extensive Aristotelian archival collection, including translations, commentaries, and even texts mistakenly attributed to the Greek philosopher.

Led by anesthesiology professor Joseph Cichon, the research was published in Nature Neuroscience on Oct. 2.
