Penn Gent 2012

The Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. held their annual “Penn Gent” competition.The event highlighted the contribution of Penn’s premier black men to the Penn and Philadelphia communities. Nine Quakers identified as campus leaders competed to see who best embodies the qualities of a Penn Gent: Intelligence, Refinement, and Culture. The hosts were College Senior Aleisha Forde & College Junior Azani Pinkney. The judges were Penn alum Phylicia McCalla, College Senior Justyn Williams, & Coach Jerome Allen. Ernest Owens was crowned the winner of Penn Gent 2012.


Chanukah Menorah Lighting Celebration

Students, faculty and staff celebrate the second night of Chanukah at Penn. Performances of music were done by the Penn Band. Chabad at Penn lit the ice sculpted menorah. Rabbi Levi Haskelevich of Chabad also spoke at the celebration. The event was sponsored by Lubavitch House at Penn.
