2016 College graduate Erin Piacenti (née Guiltinan) was killed in a stabbing in Times Square on Monday.
Piacenti was a vice president at Bank of America, the firm confirmed on Tuesday. After graduating from Penn with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in history, she earned a law degree from Fordham Law School.
During her time at Penn, the 32-year-old New Jersey native was a member of Alpha Phi sorority and Dischord A Cappella, frequently performing solo renditions of artists ranging from Tina Turner to Sia and arranging music for the group.
She also served as an alumni admissions interviewer for the University after graduating.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague,” Bank of America said in a statement.
Piacenti was one of two individuals stabbed in New York’s busy tourist hub on Monday afternoon. The other victim, a 68-year-old man, remains hospitalized. His identity has not been released.
According to Jessica Tisch, commissioner for the New York Police Department, the attacker was Pamela Cisneros, 49, of Queens. She was shot and killed by police officers after the stabbing.
