Evelyn Wiener , the director of Student Health Services, died on Thursday. She was 62.
Wiener was diagnosed with cancer in 2010, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Wiener studied as an undergraduate at Brandeis University. Following a medical education at Temple University School of Medicine, Wiener completed her residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital.
Wiener was appointed associate director of SHS in 1989. Eleven years later, in 2000, she was promoted to director.
