March 12 — Derrick Dobson, 22, unaffiliated with the University and of the 6900 block of Woodland Ave., was arrested for allegedly setting trash cans on fire at 3900 Market St. at around 1:30 a.m.
Auto Theft
March 9 — A 42-year-old male unaffiliated with the University reported an unattended delivery vehicle was taken after the keys had been left in the ignition at the 100 block of S. 39th St. at around 9:15 p.m.
Theft
March 15 — A 24-year-old female student reported an unknown suspect took her cable-locked laptop computer from a desk in the Chemistry Laboratories — located at 231 S. 34th St. — at around 7:00 p.m.
March 15 — A 20-year-old female student reported that an unknown person took her laptop from her unattended backpack at Delta Delta Delta sorority house — located at 4044 Spruce St. — at 5:30 p.m.
March 14 — A 25-year-old female student reported that her backpack and laptop were missing from a shared locked room in Fisher-Bennett Hall at around 3:00 p.m.
March 14 — A 47-year-old female staff member reported that money was missing from secured location in office at the Penn Center for Rehabilitation and Care — located at 3609 Chestnut St. — at around 4:15 p.m.
March 13 — A 42-year-old male staff member reported his locked bike missing from a rack outside Fisher-Bennett Hall at 9:15 a.m.
March 13 — A female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect left The Gap — located at 3423 Walnut St. — without paying for merchandise at 5:45 p.m.
March 12 — A 40-year-old female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect took her iPhone from her desk at Tap House — located at 3925 Walnut St. — at around 9:45 a.m.
March 11 — Briana Tinsley, 20, unaffiliated with the University and of the 5500 block of Greenway Ave., and Shacira Gault, 20, unaffiliated with the University and of the 5500 block of Beaumont Ave., were arrested for allegedly leaving Urban Outfitters — located at 110 S. 36th St. — without paying for merchandise at around 12:40 p.m.
March 10 — A 33-year-old male unaffiliated with the University reported his laptop missing from his computer bag at Smokey Joe’s — located at 210 S. 40th St. — at around 9:45 p.m.
March 9 — A 42-year-old female staff member reported her laptop missing from her secured office at the Presbyterian Hospital — located at 51 N. 39th St. — at around 9:45 a.m.
March 9 — A female unaffiliated with the University reported witnessing a suspect leave Verizon Wireless — located at 3631 Walnut St. — without paying for merchandise at around 4:00 p.m.
Other Offense
March 11 — Jesse Abeu, 27, unaffiliated with the University and of Ironwood Rd., was arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the Penn Bookstore at around 7:00 p.m.
