Assault
Jan. 14 — A 19-year-old male student was assaulted by an unknown suspect at the 4000 block of Irving St. at around 2:30 a.m.
Vandalism
Jan. 13 — A 25-year-old female employee reported that an unknown suspect cut power cords to property and removed five to six pieces of equipment from an unsecured room in the Wright Saunders building — located at 51 N. 39th St. — at around 9:00 a.m.
Theft
Jan. 19 — A 21-year-old female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect attempted to steal her cell phone but dropped it in an attempt to flee at around 1:30 p.m.
Jan. 18 — A 31-year-old male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect took items from a store located on the 3900 block of Walnut St. without paying at around 1:45 p.m.
Jan. 18 — Jeffrey Brown, 49, unaffiliated with the University and of the 10 block of S. Ruby St., was arrested for removing approximately 25 feet of copper pipe from the Penn Museum court located on 3200 block of South St. at around 11:45 a.m.
Jan. 17 — A 55-year-old female employee reported that her secured purse was taken from her locked office in Levine Hall at around 3:30 p.m.
Jan. 15 — A 20-year-old female unaffiliated with the University reported that her iPad was taken by a known suspect at The Restaurant School, located at 42nd and Walnut streets, at around 4:30 a.m.
Jan. 15 — A 21-year-old female student reported that her unsecured cell phone was taken off a table at Smokey Joe’s, located on the 200 block of S. 40th Street, by an unknown suspect at around 2:15 a.m.
Jan. 13 — A 70-year-old male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect took his unsecured iPad from his hospital room at around 12:15 a.m.
Other Offenses
Jan. 15 — Duane Hicks, 30, unaffiliated with the University and of the 4100 block of Pennsgrove St., was arrested for public urination on the 3800 block of Walnut St. at around 3:15 a.m.
Jan. 13 — Gilbert King, 63, unaffiliated with the University and of the 4100 block of Chestnut St., was arrested for public urination at the 200 block of S. 40th St. at around 4:45 a.m.
