The Food Network's Bobby Flay is "looking into" opening a Bobby's Burger Palace in the Radian, according to a senior leasing representative at Madison Marquette, the property manager Penn hired to lease the retail space in the Radian.

The representative, who said he was not authorized to disclose the information, said no lease has been signed, but one may be signed in the coming month.

"Right now we're looking at a restaurant," he said. "That's all I can tell you."

Facilities and Real Estate Services Vice President Anne Papageorge mentioned the possibility of a Bobby Flay restaurant in the Radian at a lunch with the Wharton Real Estate Club on Monday, according to members of the club.

Rachel Kihn, vice president of marketing for Inland American Communities Group, the developer of the Radian, said the company is negotiating "with a diverse mix of retailers that we believe will positively impact University City."

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, CVS Pharmacy and Chipotle Mexican Grill have all leased space in the Radian and begun construction. CVS plans to open on Monday.

Capogiro Gelato Artisans has also signed a lease, although construction has not begun. The Madison Marquette representative said construction should begin in the next two to three weeks.

He said he expects Jimmy John's to open this month and Chipotle in January.
