Several shots were fired inside the parking garage located at 40th and Walnut streets early Sunday morning.
There were no injuries, but Shannon McKnight, 22, was arrested in connection with the incident.
According to Division of Public Safety spokeswoman Stefanie Cella, Penn Police officers on patrol heard gunfire at 1:29 a.m. Both Penn and Philadelphia police responded to the incident, detained several people and collected evidence.
Southwest Detectives say that when they arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle with bullet holes and were unable to determine the number of shots fired. According to Philadelphia Police, a gun was recovered at the scene.
McKnight was charged with carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a firearm in public. He posted bail for $7,500 later on Sunday and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 1.
