Theft

July 23 - A female unaffiliated with the University, 54, reported that an unknown suspect broke the window to her vehicle in a parking garage located at 34th and Chestnut streets and removed a laptop and other personal property at about 2:45 p.m.

July 23 - A female University employee, 42, reported that an unknown suspect removed cash from a locked drawer at Presbyterian Hospital at about 2:30 p.m.

July 22 - A male unaffiliated with the University, 28, and a female unaffiliated with the University, 31, reported that their secured bicycles were removed from outside Claudia Cohen Hall by an unknown suspect at about 4:30 p.m.

July 19 - Patrick Machayo, 46, unaffiliated with the University, was arrested for allegedly attempting to leave the Penn Bookstore, located at 3601 Walnut St., without paying for merchandise valued at $109 at about 6:30 p.m.

July 18 - A male unaffiliated with the University, 23, reported that an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle in Penn Tower parking garage and removed a GPS device at about 3:30 p.m.

July 18 - A female unaffiliated with the University, 29, reported that her unattended wallet was removed from a table at Cavanaugh's, located at 119 S. 39th St., at about 4:15 p.m.

Burglary

July 22 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect entered Pizza Rustica, located at 3602 Chestnut St., secured property and removed cash from the registers at about 8:30 a.m.

July 18 - A female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect entered a locked building on the 4200 block of Baltimore Avenue and removed a laptop and other personal property at about 10 p.m.

Narcotic

July 21 - Brian Savage, 43, unaffiliated with the University, was arrested on the 3900 block of Ludlow Street for allegedly being in possession of two small baggies of a white chunky substance at about 1:15 a.m.

Assault

July 19 - Virgil Rushing, 28, unaffiliated with the University, was arrested on the 3900 block of Ludlow Street for allegedly assaulting a man during a domestic dispute at about 9:45 p.m.
