Following a two-hour search, the man suspected of shooting a constable and one other person yesterday in Yeadon was arrested in West Philadelphia.
Tamarr Minor, 21, was arrested by Philadelphia police for the shooting, according to Philadelphia Police Lt. Frank Venore.
Venore said Minor was apprehended on 54th Street and Woodland Ave.
The constable was serving Minor a warrant on the 2200 block of Alfred Drive when Minor allegedly shot him.
The constable and the other victim were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Both were in stable condition as of last night.
Penn's Division of Public Safety "provided logistical assistance and traffic control, within the Penn Patrol Zone" when the victims were being transported to the hospital, DPS officials said.
Police officials from Yeadon, Philadelphia, Darby, Upper Darby, Colwyn and Collingdale engaged in the search for Minor prior to his arrest.
Yeadon police officials did not return a call for comment.
