The Social Planning and Events Committee will hold the first-ever spring activities fair this Sunday.

The event, which will feature 240 different student clubs from around Penn, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. in Houston Hall.

Although SPEC holds an annual activities fair in the fall during New Student Orientation, this is the first time there will be an additional fair in the spring.

"This goes along with our effort to create a friendlier image for SAC by helping out groups as much as possible," Wharton senior Shutong Zhang said. "People tend to think about extracurricular activities over winter break, and this fair is geared toward anyone that's looking to get involved when they get back."

The second fair is also an effort to reach out to freshmen who say the first fair is held too early, newly elected SAC President and Engineering and Wharton junior Eric Van Nostrand said.
