Assault

Nov. 11 - A female employee was hit on the back of the head by a male suspect while she was walking westbound on the 3800 block of Spruce Street at about 12:00 a.m. Wharton senior Seamus Scanlan, 21, of the 300 block of S. 39th St. was arrested and charged with assault.

Nov. 10 - A male student was hit several times in the head and face at the student's residence on the 3200 block of Walnut Street at about 7:15 p.m. by a female whom the student allegedly knew. Tiffany Randall, 28, of the 3800 block of Brunswick Street in Drexel Hill was arrested and charged with assault.

Theft

Nov. 16 - A female student reported that an unknown suspect broke a wooden fixture that her bicycle was secured to and removed the bike on the 4200 block of Spruce Street at 8:15 a.m.

Nov. 16 - A female employee reported that her unattended laptop was removed from a room at the Translational Research Lab, located at 125 S. 31st St., at about 2:45 p.m.

Nov. 16 - A male employee reported that an unknown suspect broke his vehicle window and removed a Discman at about 7:40 p.m. outside the Newman Center, located at 3720 Chestnut St.

Nov. 15 - A computer was reported stolen from a room in Steinberg-Dietrich Hall at about 1:20 p.m.

Nov. 14 - A complainant unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect broke into his car on the unit block of S. 41st Street at about 8 a.m. and took several items.

Nov. 14 - A male student reported that his bicycle, secured with a cable lock, was stolen from outside David Rittenhouse Laboratory, located at 209 S. 33rd St, at about 2 p.m.

Nov. 13 - James Wade, 31, of the 5300 block of Lebanon Street, was arrested for allegedly trying to leave the Penn Bookstore without paying for merchandise at about 11:45 p.m.

Nov. 13 - A laptop was reported stolen from an office at the Translational Research Lab at about 9:15 a.m.

Nov. 13 - A female student reported that an unknown suspect took her wallet from her handbag from the Food Court located at 3409 Walnut St. at about 5:30 p.m.

Nov. 12 - A female employee reported that an unknown suspect removed her unattended laptop from an office at the Clinical Research Building, located at 415 Curie Blvd., at about 8 a.m.

Nov. 12 - A male employee reported that his bicycle, secured with a cable lock, was removed by an unknown suspect outside Presbyterian Hospital, located at 51 N. 39th St., at about 1:30 p.m.

Nov. 12 - A female student reported that her wallet was stolen from her unattended bag at Starbucks, located at 132 S. 34th St., at about 5:20 p.m.

Nov. 11 - Male students reported that an unknown suspect removed several items from their residence on the 4000 block of Baltimore Avenue during a party.

Nov. 11 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect broke the window of his vehicle in a parking garage at 40th and Walnut streets at about 12:45 p.m. and stole a laptop and several other items.

Nov. 11 - A male student reported that his bicycle was stolen from outside Huntsman Hall at about 6 p.m.

Nov. 10 - A female student reported that her debit card and cash were stolen her unattended pocketbook in the Quadrangle at about 2 p.m.

Nov. 10 - A female employee reported that an unknown suspect took a money bag from the cashier's area in the cafeteria at Presbyterian Hospital at about 3:15 p.m.

Narcotic

Nov. 12 - Thomas Fieras, 24, of the 100 block of Pusey Avenue, was arrested after a bag of a white chunky substance thought to be an illegal drug was found in his vehicle. He was observed driving erratically while traveling westbound on Walnut Street at about 8:15 p.m.
