A window that fell from the fourth floor of the Franklin Building, located near 36th and Walnut streets, was likely dislodged by a construction mishap, according to the Division of Public Safety.
The window fell and crashed on the street below on Saturday morning. Nobody was injured.
It belonged to Penn's Office of Risk Management and Insurance.
The window has not been replaced, and the gaps in the building are covered with plastic. Pedestrian access to the sidewalk and part of the street in front of the building was blocked off earlier in the week. Barricades are still preventing cars from parking in that area.
