Singapore's former ambassador to the United Nations will speak as part of the Provost's Global Forum next month.
Kishore Mahbubani - who served as president of the U.N. Security Council in 2001 and 2002 - will speak in Huntsman Hall on Nov. 13.
The Global Forum, entitled "The Greatest Asian Century," is designed to bring prominent international figures to Penn's campus.
A former member of the Singapore Foreign Service, Mahbubani has spent over three decades in public service and has written several books, including Can Asians Think? and Beyond the Age of Innocence: Rebuilding Trust Between America and the World.
He is also the dean of the School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
