Quakers demolish cold-shooting Princeton

Penn two clear of Ivy field with seven to play

Steve Danley, Ibrahim Jaaber and Mark Zoller combined for 50 points against Princeton Tuesday. And with how Princeton was playing, there was never much doubt that 50 would be more than enough. Danley led the Quakers with 18, while Jaaber added 17 and Zoller 15 as Penn cruised to a 60-41 win over its biggest rival in front of 7,802 fans at the Palestra. Penn (15-6, 7-0 Ivy) struggled early but got going with an 11-0 run in the middle of the first half. Meanwhile the defense was suffocating, holding Princeton (7-13, 5-2) to 11-for-35 shooting. The Quakers extended their Ivy League lead to two games over the Tigers and 2.5 over 5-3 Cornell and Yale. They travel to Columbia Friday and Cornell Saturday. Full coverage in Wednesday's DP
