ITHACA, N.Y. -- For the second straight night, Ibrahim Jaaber carried the Quakers on his back. This time, he got just enough help from his teammates to win. Penn needed just about all of Jaaber's 29 points and a couple key offensive rebounds to put away Cornell, 67-56, at Newman Arena. The Quakers (16-7, 8-1 Ivy) led by as many as 11 before watching their lead slip away for the second time in as many games on this swing through the Empire State. But a key rebound by sophomore Brian Grandeiri and some clutch foul shooting allowed Penn to regain the upper hand after Cornell (10-14, 5-5) took a one-point lead with nine minutes to play. It was the 16th straight win for Penn over the Big Red, and also allowed Penn to move two games up in the Ivy League race with Princeton losing at Columbia. Elsewhere: Columbia 65, Princeton 64; Dartmouth 58, Brown 48; Yale 77, Harvard 66. View a log of the action on The Buzz.
