Kerri Lutfey, a freshman on Penn's gymnastics team, has been named the co-Rookie of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
On Friday, the Quakers competed against Wilson at Hutchinson Gym. Lutfey helped contribute to a 186.350-170.375 victory by earning strong finishes in three different events.
She won the beam with a score of 9.575, placed second on the floor exercise with a 9.375, and came in third on the vault with a score of 9.45.
Lutfey shares the honor with Brown's Brittany Anderson.
Penn, who is now 1-2 for the season, will next compete tonight, at home against local rival Temple.
