Penn wrestling head coach Zeke Jones has been named the U.S. National Team Coach for the Pan-American Championships.
Between May 31 and June 4, Jones will lead the U.S. National Freestyle team in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. This is not Jones' first coaching experience at this level. He was a member of the coaching staff for the 1996 and 2000 Olympics, and in 2004 served as the U.S. freestyle team's head coach, guiding the Americans to one gold medal and two silver medals.
Jones also coached the U.S. team at the Pan-American championships in 2003, leading the tea to four gold medals, a silver and two bronzes.
Jones is in his first year as coach of the Quakers.
