Cornell guard injures neck during practice
Khaliq Gant, a sophomore guard for the Cornell men's basketball team, is recovering after suffering a neck injury during practice on Tuesday.
During a drill, several players converged on a loose ball, and Gant bore the brunt of the ensuing collision.
The most recent reports from the Arnot Ogden Medical Center -- where Gant was airlifted to -- state that Gant has regained sensation in his extremities, a positive sign for this type of injury.
His prognosis will become more clear within the next 24 to 48 hours, but doctors are optimistic with Gant's progress so far.
