Former Penn Executive Vice President John Fry has been selected as vice chairman of the NCAA Division III Presidents Council. The Council is the administrative body that suggests new athletics policies for every school in Division III.
Fry is currently the president of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. Until being named president there, Fry served as the executive vice president of Penn between 1995 and 2001.
The Council's responsibilities include overseeing the Division III Management Council, which directly administers athletics departments and student athletes at individual schools in the division.
