Two Quakers take first in W. Track's opener

The women's track team opened its indoor season on Saturday at the Bison Opener held at Bucknell University.

Two Penn women took first place in their respective events: Sophomore Shaunee Morgan was first in the 200m dash while sophomore Jamie Liberti won the one-mile run.

In the field events, freshman Whitney Tagliavini placed second in the long jump. Senior Charity Payne took third in the shot put while freshman Camille Richard placed third in the triple jump.

W. Swimming falls in last event against Lions

The Penn women's swimming team went into the final event Friday night against Columbia with a small lead, but ended up falling by a score of 153-147.

Penn swimmers won the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke, butterfly, IM and medley, as well as the 1-meter diving.
