News Brief

'Brother Stephen' trial postponed until January

The trial of Rev. Stephen White, originally scheduled for yesterday, has been postponed until January, according to West Chester District Attorney Kimberly Callahan.

White, who lives in Philadelphia and who frequented Penn's campus to preach on College Green, was arrested in July on charges of sex solicitation. He allegedly approached a 14-year-old male in Chester County and offered to pay to perform oral sex on him. White was released on bail and will be represented in court by attorney Robert Donatoni Jr.

According to Callahan, the defense requested a continuance because Donatoni is currently involved in another trial.
