Two men injured by shooting in residence
Two males were shot in the "lower extremities" by an unknown assailant in a nearby residence, located at 4207 Ranstead St., early Monday morning, according to the University Police crime log.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:18 a.m.
Both of the victims, who are unaffiliated with the University, were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment following the incident, which was logged as an "aggravated assault."
The case is being handled by the Philadelphia Police Department. However, no one at the Southwest Detectives Unit was available to provide information yesterday.
University Police were not aware of any arrest that had been made in connection with the incident yesterday.
