An individual was arrested in Jon M. Huntsman Hall late yesterday afternoon, according to a Spectaguard who declined to give a name.
Last night, University police refused to comment because no one had been arraigned in connection with the arrest.
"I do not have authority to release information about a student that was locked up," a police official said of department policy.
Neither Vice President for Public Safety Maureen Rush nor Chief of Police Thomas Rambo could be reached for comment last night.
The incident comes less than a week after Marshall Thompson, a 29-year-old male, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a female graduate student in her Hamilton College House dormitory. Thompson, who was employed by an outsourcing company hired by the University to clean the building, faces several charges, including indecent assault.
