A female University student was reportedly assaulted in her Quadrangle room by a man early Saturday morning.
A man entered the Speakman buidling in the Quad at approximately 3:30 a.m., according to Penn Police. The man reportedly assaulted the student, but was subsequently arrested near 40th Street and Baltimore Avenue.
The student was evaluated by medical personnel and is receiving assistance from the Penn Police Special Services Department.
Authorities are investigating how the man was able to enter the guarded Quad, which requires a Penn card for access. Vice President for Public Safety Maureen Rush has launched a full security audit of all of Penn's college houses.
