University officials have identified 22-year-old Wharton undergraduate Electra Bynoe as the student who died last night at her residence on the 4000 block of Sansom Street. The death has been officially ruled a suicide by asphyxiation.
At 4 p.m. today, a meeting is taking place in the first floor lounge of Steinberg-Dietrich for members of the community, and staff members from Wharton, the office of the Vice Provost for University Life, and Counseling and Psychological services will be present.
CAPS, located at 34th and Walnut streets, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at 8-7021. The office is available for walk-ins and appointments.
