OK. You have to admit that though Alien Ant Farm is one of the worst names ever (next to Ginuwine), and despite your sneaking suspicion that the combined IQ of the whole tour is a par below Forrest Gump, that that punky "Smooth Criminal" Michael Jackson video was pretty funny. Hey and did you know that Wade Robson, choreographer for *N Sync, was one of the kids who slept in the same bed as Michael Jackson and even went on trial during that whole child molester case? Coincidence? We think not.
Widespread Panic
Electric Factory (not Liacouras Center)
Seventh and Willow streets
7:30 p.m., $27
(215) 627-1332
Panic always delivers a good heaping portion of Southern goodness. It's also a lot easier for many to handle, seeing as it tends to keep its tunes a bit more grounded than the recent round of jam-oriented bands like the Disco Biscuits. You never know quite what to expect from a night with these Georgian boys, but it will surely be another joyous occasion.
