Film: The One

The One could have been a great sci-fi action film, if it weren't for the bad dialogue and plot loopholes. But there's at least one reason (though it's obvious) to see the movie: the spectacular fight scenes. The beautiful choreography of rapid-action Jackie Chan-style fighting is mixed with copycat visual effects of The Matrix. And what could be better than watching Jet Li fight Jet Li? Rather unusual weapons--like a motorcycle--are used for combat. The One takes place in parallel universes, where --I'm not joking--Gore is President in one universe while Bush is President in another. A killer (played by Jet Li) is attempting to destroy all of his alter forms (played by Jet Li) to become the One (played by Jet Li). Although Jet Li never becomes the One in the Multiverse (as opposed to the Universe), he is definitely the One in this flick.
