Theft
* Sept. 26 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that he parked and secured his vehicle at 8 a.m. in the Penn Tower Hotel parking garage, located near 32nd and Spruce streets. When he returned to his vehicle at 12:30 p.m., a radio, compact disc player and five compact discs were missing.
* Sept. 25 --ÿFour female University students reported that they left their backpacks unsecured and unattended in room 119 of the Nursing Education Building, located at 417 Guardian Drive. By the time they retrieved their bags at 12:50 p.m., a total of four cell phones, one Palm Pilot and one credit card, together valued at $650, were missing.
* Sept. 25 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that between 10 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 10 a.m. on Sept. 25, someone removed two hubcaps from the passenger side of his parked 1998 green Volkswagen sedan at the intersection of 34th and Sansom streets.
* Sept. 25 -- University Police officers reported that they witnessed James Jenkins, a 39-year-old resident of the 1300 block of Ridge Avenue, attempt to remove a bike from a rear yard on the 4400 block of Pine Street at 2:50 p.m. Jenkins was taken into custody. At the time of Jenkins' arrest, bolt cutters, two screwdrivers, pliers, a razor knife and other tools were reportedly found in his possession.
* Sept. 25 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that between 3 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. someone forced open the driver's side lock of his 1995 green Dodge Caravan parked at the intersection of 34th Street and Civic Center Boulevard. A Pennsylvania registration card, vehicular insurance card, a pair of sunglasses and miscellaneous tools were reportedly taken from the vehicle.
* Sept. 25 -- A woman who is affiliated with the University reported that she left her bag unsecured and unattended at about 11 a.m. inside an unlocked laboratory inside the Clinical Research Building, located at 415 Curie Blvd. When she returned to the lab at noon, her wallet was missing.
* Sept. 24 -- A man affiliated with the University reported that between 8:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. someone took his 23-speed mountain bicycle which he had secured outside of the Biological Research Building II, located at 421 Curie Blvd. The bike is valued at $750.
* Sept. 23 -- A man who is not affiliated with the University reported that between 1:55 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. someone broke the driver's side window of his 1990 black Cadillac parked in the lot at 3120 Walnut St. Someone reportedly removed $15 from the vehicle.
