M. Hoops head coach tees off for good cause

Last Sunday, Penn men's basketball coach Fran Dunphy gathered his clubs and traveled to the Old Line State to participate in the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Invitational, held at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md.

"It's a great organization and the event raised a lot of money," said Dunphy, a major contributor to the American Cancer Society.

The best golfers of the lot, according to Dunphy, were Syracuse's Jim Boeheim and Kansas' Roy Williams.

Lakers unstoppable from beyond the arc

It was raining in Philadelphia last Tuesday. And the rain continued last night in the form of three pointers at the First Union Center.

The Los Angeles Lakers went 10-for-19 from downtown en route to a 100-86 win over the 76ers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

The Sixers are now down 3-1 and must win Friday to stay alive in the best-of-seven series.
