Campus Crime Report

Burglary € September 13 -- A female employee of St. Mary's Church at 3916 Locust Walk reported that $220 in cash was taken from an office in the church between 2 p.m. on September 13 and 8:30 a.m. on September 14. There were signs of forced entry and several other offices had been ransacked.

Theft € September 14 -- A female University employee reported that a heat stage unit in a wooden box was taken from the John Morgan Building at 3620 Hamilton Walk between 10:30 p.m. on September 1 and 8:30 a.m. on September 14. The unit was valued at $7,000.

€ September 13 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from the front of Gimbel Gymnasium at 3701 Walnut Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bike -- which was secured with a chain and a lock -- was valued at $300. € September 13 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from the front of Vance Hall at 3733 Spruce Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bike, which was secured, was valued at $500.

€ September 13 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from in front of Steinberg-Dietrich Hall at 3620 Locust Walk between noon and 3 p.m. The bike was secured, and the front wheel and lock were left behind. The bike was valued at $1,000.

€ September 13 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from the 4100 block of Spruce Street between 6 p.m. on September 12 and 10 a.m. on September 13. The bike -- which was secured to a utility wire -- was valued at $600.

€ September 12 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from 36th Street between Walnut Street and Locust Walk between 11 p.m. on September 12 and 6 a.m. on September 13. The bike was secured and its value was unknown.

€ September 12 -- A woman unaffiliated with the University reported that a man grabbed cash out of her hand while she was standing in a telephone booth at 4200 Chester Avenue at 11:30 p.m. The man, who is described as a heavy-set black male wearing a blue muscle shirt and blue jeans, jumped into a blue car and fled the scene.

€ September 12 -- A male University student reported that his bicycle was taken from in front of Vance Hall at 3733 Spruce Street between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The bike -- which was secured -- was valued at $800.
