The student, whose name was not immediately available, was transported from the building by a private vehicle. Police had no further information on the student. Several Spectaguard security guards at the scene refused to comment on the incident. Many building residents and staff members were either unaware of the situation or unwilling to comment. A student living in the 21st-floor room where the incident took place acted unconcerned about either his roommates' safety or the presence of police officers. It was not clear last night whether the individual who ingested the toxin lived in the room where he was found. University Police Sgt. Laurence Salotti said details of the case were "confidential," and would not say if foul play was involved, nor whether the incident was a suicide attempt. -- Edward Sherwin
