To the Editor: These inquiries encourage me to clarify the policy of Hill with regard to a very important issue. The house strongly and unambiguously supports the freedom of its members to practice and espouse their religious beliefs, and we are proud of the diversity and intensity of such expression that occurs in Hill on a regular basis. Hill staff are trained to respect and support that diversity and cultural diversities of every sort. We are proud of our recruitment and retention of a multi-national, multi-religious staff that itself embodies that richness of community and we will continue to bring together people of different backgrounds and perspectives in a community that thrives because of, not in spite of, diversity.
