Lwt. football gets first ELFL win vs. Cornell Penn opened the scoring on an 18-yard touchdown run by Tim Ortman, who totalled 178 yards on the night. However, Sherman missed the extra point, giving Penn only a 6-0 lead. Cornell (3-2, 1-2) took the lead with 3:01 left in the first half. Big Red running back Joshua Trembley's 12-yard dash to the end zone, coupled with Thomas Lester's extra point gave Cornell the lead going into the half. The Quakers failed to score late in the game when they fumbled the ball on the Cornell 10-yard line. Nevertheless, they were given one more chance to come from behind and win. Penn quarterback John Kernan led a hurry-up offense down the field by completing four out of five passes to set up Sherman's game-winning field goal. -- Zac Costello
