Simple AssaultSimple Assault· April 13 -- A woman reported that she was punched in the face at 40th and Spruce streets by a suspect described as a 6' black male with a medium complexion, wearing a dark jacket, tan pants and black sneakers. The man had made a pass at the woman, then punched her when she said she was not interested in him. The woman suffered minor swelling in her right eye from the punch, but did not receive medical attention. The bicycle had been secured to a rack at the Chemistry Building at 34th and Spruce streets in the incident, which occurred between noon and 4:30 p.m. This is the fifth such incident reported to University Police since March 27.
