Quad, Stouffer to get fire alarms this summer The installation will mark the last phase of a 4-year project to install the alarms in all campus "sleeping areas." "Once these buildings are completed, all on-campus residences will have smoke detectors in the bedrooms," Zuino said. Installation of the detectors into the 1,173 Quad bedrooms and 64 Stouffer bedrooms will be done in conjunction with the ResNet wiring project this summer and should be completed by September. Zuino noted that the Quad and Stouffer residences are "up to code" even without the additional detectors. -- Tammy Reiss
