Forum to examine Forum to examine responses to crime Nearly 15 campus and community organizations have joined the Division of Public Safety in sponsoring an event entitled "From Fear to Hope: A Nonviolent Response to Violence" Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Newman Center at 37th and Chestnut streets. Scheduled speakers include attorney Richard Rosin, father of Rebecca Rosin -- who had dated Al-Moez Alimohamed, the fifth-year Mathematics graduate student who was murdered near campus in August 1994. Rebecca Rosin committed suicide in December 1995. John and Kathy Polec -- the parents of 16-year-old Eddie Polec, who was beaten to death in Northeast Philadelphia in November 1994 -- and Corine Toms, who founded a support group for parents of murdered children after her son was killed in West Philadelphia, will also speak at the event. -- Scott Lanman
