Houston Hall to hold Valentine's celebration The celebration -- which will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. -- is intended to "just get everyone in the spirit of it [Valentine's Day]," according to Beth Hagovsky, an administrator for Student Life. She added that the Valentine's Day event is open to all students -- regardless of whether they normally eat in Houston Hall. Houston Hall retailers have created specially printed menus and prices for the event, and new tablecloths and candles will adorn tables in the Hall of Flags. Hagovsky said students can take advantage of special meals or just have dessert or coffee as part of the celebration. People are encouraged to attend the event alone, in couples or with a group of friends, and Hagovsky noted that she hoped to "open it up to everybody." A complimentary Valentine trolley will be available to and from Houston Hall. The shuttle will depart continuously from five locations on and around campus -- David Rittenhouse Laboratories, Gimbel Gymnasium, the Graduate Towers, 40th and Locust streets and 38th and Spruce streets under the bridge. -- Laura Robbins
