New Web site highlights 21st Century Plan New Web site highlights 21st Century PlanTo better educate both current and future students, the University recently launched a World Wide Web site that provides information about the 21st Century Plan at http://www.upenn.edu/provost/21st/index.html. It also offers links to information on University projects such as the Perelman Quadrangle, Writers House and new service-learning programs. English Professor and 21st Century Project coordinator Susan Albertine said the site will "grow over time." The next goal is to develop a page highlighting undergraduate research, Albertine said. Additional pages and links will be added in coming months, she said. Students and faculty are asked to send suggestions for site improvement to century@pobox.upenn.edu. -- Dina Bass Boby building contest to be held Wednesday The Athletic Department is concentrating on more than just winning its games this month. The annual Mr. and Mrs. Penn bodybuilding contest is scheduled for Wednesday in Irvine Auditorium. And as bodybuilders flex, preen and strut in support of the women's track team -- which gets to keep the $5 per person admission fee -- nutrition tables out front will promote "health and wellness," according to Athletic Department Marketing Director Katrina Dowidchuk. A student-athlete mentoring program -- in which 21 athletes will become "mentors" to local middle school students -- is also planned for the near future. Dowidchuk said each athlete involved in the program will act as "a pal" to students who might not otherwise receive much attention by playing catch, shooting hoops or just hanging out with the children. -- Michael Brus
