Pacers cut Ira Bowman

Keith Glass, Bowman's agent, said he will recommend that Bowman sign with a CBA team. "I'm really pleased with him," Glass said. "I think the Pacers were actually trying to make a trade so they could keep him." Bowman was invited to the Pacers training camp after averaging 24.5 points in 11 games over the summer with the Gold Coast Rollers of Australia's National Basketball League. Guard Jerome Allen, a 1995 Penn alum, signed a one-year deal with the Pacers in August and is still with the team. · Matt Maloney, also a 1995 Penn graduate, might be the Houston Rockets starting point guard when the NBA regular season opens this Friday.
