I was encouraged, inspired, heartened, reassured, cheered, filled with joy and gladdened by yesterday's editorial page (DP 3/30/92), much as I am every day. Page six is a bright spot in an often dark world, illuminating the way to higher knowledge and greater hope. Every day I rapidly open -- nay, tear into the paper -- to make sure I read page six first. Your diverse and enlightened group of columnists are a wonderful breath of fresh air, and a constant source of amusement and delight. I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time with a long-winded and sarcastic letter. But please, please, please keep up the good work -- dare I say, excellent and unparalleled work? -- you do every day. DP, I salute you! MATTHEW HILK Managing Editor of days gone by
