During the Wharton student's June 1988 trial a former girlfriend testified that he began traffiking cocaine at the University as early as 1983. Eventually an investigation turned up 22 drug related charges including one under the "drug kingpin" statute -- the most serious offense possible under federal drug laws. He was ultimately acquitted on four of the counts including the kingpin statute. -- Stephen Glass
