I write to support the Social Planning and Events Committee and the Spring Fling committee in their latest "controversy." Surely they cannot be blamed for the unwillingness of their most vocal critics, including You-Lee Kim, to attend the well-publicized forum on diversity. Nor can Spring Fling be expected to suit the tastes of every particular group on campus. Whether the concert features Willie Nelson, The Indigo Girls, Public Enemy or the Philadelphia Orchestra, someone will complain. I am confident that Fling will feature a band most Penn students, provided they are open-minded and fun loving, will enjoy. MATTHEW APPLEBAUM College '94
