In response to the article on the forum on Asian sexuality (DP 2/27/92), I feel that an explanation is necessary in order to encompass the real core of the discussion. The theme of the discussion was how cultural conflicts, parental influences and the growing generation of Asians in America influence interracial relationships and attractions be - tween Asians and non-Asians. The focus was not on the preference for Caucasian males or the Asian-bashing theme The Daily Pennsylvanian tended to focus on. The DP not only managed to deviate from the central theme of the discussion, but also hand-picked certain quotations to make the article sound juicy, without regard to what was said before and after the quotations which were crucial to understanding the real content. The DP also managed to place the quotations with the wrong people and to mutate them together into a deformed state. Should issues as important as this be treated so unprofessionally?
