Men steal cash box Monday

Two unarmed men stole a cash box from the International House theater at 8:41 p.m. Monday, University police said yesterday. The theater clerk described one of the men as in his 20s, six feet tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a diamond ring, a Rolex watch and a Nike jacket with the word "Force" printed on the back. His accomplice was a man of thin build, also in his 20's, and was last seen wearing a woolen cap and a multicolored jacket. In an unrelated incident, a man stole several credit cards and $35 in cash from the Graduate Education Building on Monday evening at 5:33 p.m. An office worker in the building described the man as 6'2" tall, with a heart-shaped tattoo near one eye. He was last seen wearing a yellow three-quarter length jacket with a fur collar and hood, green pants and white high-top sneakers. University Police Sergeant Lawrence Salotti said a man fitting that description is believed to have been associated with several similar thefts. In another unrelated incident, a blind student was hit by a car on 36th and Sansom streets on January 23rd. The driver of the vehicle escorted the student to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where the student was checked and released.
