Reading The Daily Pennsylvanian is often depressing. This was especially true a few days ago when I read that Elizabeth Hunt had returned as a columnist. I guess that her brilliant columns, like the one about Vanilla Ice, as well as the countless ones about Smith Hall, have endeared her to the editorial board at the DP. I used to think that the concept of having columnists write for one semester would allow for a wide variety of views to be presented by a number of people. But then again, maybe not enough qualified people applied and the DP was forced into having her back. Myself, I'd much rather have a column's worth of blank space than to have to wade through her "column" (read: attack on every aspect of the administration). But hey, maybe she'll whine about some new topics this semester. We can only hope. BILL KING College '93
